This is starting to get ridiculous. The TCU Horned Frogs won the Poinsettia Bowl on Wednesday night but they failed to cover the spread, pushing me to 0-5 in the college football bowl season. But I plow forward, with the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl, the first bowl featuring a Pac-12 Conference team. Here are the particulars of Thursday night's game:
Teams: No. 8 Boise State Broncos (11-1, 6-1 in the Mountain West), Arizona State Sun Devils (6-6, 4-5 in the Pac-12)
Location: Sam Boyd Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada
Time: 5 p.m.
TV: ESPN and ESPN3.com, with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Tom Rinaldi on the call.
Radio: Sports USA Radio
Players to Watch: Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy voting after throwing for 3,507 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions this season. Tailback Cameron Marshall ran for 1,038 yards and 18 touchdowns for Arizona State.
Point Spread: Boise State is favored by 14 points, per Odds Shark.
The Pick: Boise State got shafted out of a BCS bowl, so I will take the Broncos and give the points.
