Etsy Fort Worth: You're Invited: Craft Party 2012!

To quote Etsy, "Craft Party is a global celebration of meeting and making. It?s a time to get to know your neighbors and exercise your creative spirit."? This year's theme is "Wish You Were Here" and will focus on all we love about the place we call home.? This is a free family friendly event open to everyone in our community.

Sarah at Artful Mayhem Studio has graciously opened her business for us to transform into a Cowtown Craft Fiesta complete with:

-Indoor Make and Take Crafts
-Door Prizes
-Community Wall Mural Project
-Craft Challenge Contest
-Covered Outdoor Lounge

-Potluck Style Snacks and Drinks
-And More Fun Surprises

Make & Takes: This year we're happy to provide supplies for three make and take projects.? Guests will be able to create locally themed magnets, state silhouette postcards and collages and local love key chains.? All three projects make wonderful keepsakes to remind you of a special location or let you travel with a piece of home.? They can also be gifted to loved ones near or far.? We will also have custom designed coloring pages and fun activities for kids.

Craft Challenge Contest: Show us what you love about where you live by creating a finished art/craft project fitting the theme "Wish You Were Here."? This is a great opportunity to share your creative side with our local community.? Supplies, style and size are up to the individual artist.? Three entries will win a special surprise package put together by the party hosts and generous local businesses.

Challenge Rules:

• Only finished handmade projects may be entered.
• One entry per person and must be created by the person entering it into the contest.
• Artwork must be family friendly.
• Entries must be setup in the designated space by 7:30PM.
• A card with title and creator must accompany the entry.

The Craft Party will be setup and ready for fun by 6PM.? Party guests are welcome to bring a chair to enjoy our outdoor lounge, finger foods or drinks, craft supplies for make and takes, donation or swapping, and business cards or promos for networking.? We request that there be no alcohol or smoking on premises at this event.

?We would love to see you at our third annual Fort Worth Craft Party!? Please RSVP, so we can gather an adequate amount of supplies.?
